I recently finished a new extension for Open Cart that allows your customers to save credit cards if desired. This enables them to choose from previously used credit cards or debit cards during checkout thereby speeding up the process.

There are two methods for adding cards. They can add them preemptively by accessing the new Saved Cards section in their account (basic date and Luhn validation) or they can choose Save Card during checkout (only saved after successful transactions).

Currently it supports two payment gateways: Authorize.net (AIM) and VirtualMerchant. I can of course adapt it to additional payment gateways for a reasonable fee 😉

Warning: Even though the card numbers stored in the database are encrypted and the full card number is never displayed, it still raises significant security implications. The original client was warned but persisted.
